Blade: The blade of this sword is hand forged and finished with 12 stages of polishing and sharpening. The steel used is high quality carbon steel, which is very pure, and keeps its edge very well.

Folded Steel: This blade had been folded eleven times, creating 2048 layers. This traditional sword forging method involves repeatedly heating, hammering and folding the swords steel. The effect of this work evens out and homogenises the carbon content, making for a stronger, more flexible blade.

Excellent sword craftsmanship

I'm very happy with the craftsmanship and quality of the sword I received.
My only caveat is that I selected (and noted) an un-sharpened blade - but received an extremely sharp blade. While I will not be able to use its striking beauty in competition, it's still a great sword and welcome addition to my collection. And it will still get used in training from time to time.

Hi Catalino, Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review, we really love the feedback! Really happy to hear that you liked the sword. I will message you to correct the issue with the sharpness of the sword, so you can use it in competition. Thanks - The American BladesPro Team
