The words "striking" and "beautiful" describe this sword. From a sky-blue steel blade whose colours change with the angle of the light as they enhance the thousands of layers within, to the gleaming Bo-Hi set within the metal that both lightens the blade and enhances its sound, this Katana is a true work of art. The Tsuba has had special attention placed on its design, bearing a detailed depiction of a dragon, and the sword is finished off with a sturdy-grip Tsuka with well-contrasting black and red.
Perfect for display, this sword is also Battle-Ready and can be used for training or cutting.
Blade: The blade of this sword is hand forged and finished with 12 stages of polishing and sharpening. The steel used is high quality carbon steel, which is very pure, and keeps its edge very well.
Folded Steel: This blade had been folded eleven times, creating 2048 layers. This traditional sword forging method involves repeatedly heating, hammering and folding the swords steel. The effect of this work evens out and homogenises the carbon content, making for a stronger, more flexible blade.
Please note: 'Damascus' in this case means it is in the STYLE of damascus steel. Real damascus steel no longer exists in production, and can only be seen in museums. More information on this can be found in our sword guide.
